The event commenced at the Robertstown Oval being the Main Control on Saturday at 1:30 PM and completed at 8:30 PM and again commenced on the Sunday at 9:00 AM and finishing at 4:00 PM, which included 8 local riders.

The figure 8 course used, was 90 kilometres per lap and had to be negotiated with 2 laps on each day. This year there was 1 lap that was ridden at night.

Prior to the event, the area had received very little rain, but thankfully on the Thursday night & Friday the area was blessed with approximately 20mm (80 points) of rain that made conditions ideal for the event.

However, the small loose section in "Chalky's" that usually is a problem, lived up to it's reputation and proved to be very difficult to ride through, with some of them "losing it" and/or becoming difficult to negotiate .

Catering was once again done by the members of the Robertstown Football and Netball clubs and they were kept busy for most of the event. 

This weekend is always a busy weekend for the Football Club, as they always conduct their "Annual Dinner Dance" on the Friday night before the Reliability Trial. The weekend is a good means of raising funds for them.

The organisers for the event spent many hours over the past month marking out the course.

Radio communications were conducted by the Australian Citizens Radio Monitors Inc (ACRM) who specialise in doing this type of event, with radios at all 12 controls and also in the  St John, SA Ambulance Course Controllers and Rescue mobile vehicles.

Overall, the event proved to be very successful due to the rain several days before the event and it was reported from an Official of the Velocette Motor Cycle Club that he believed it was the best event ever run at Robertstown due to there only being 8 scratchings and no complaints from any of the riders. Most riders really enjoyed riding the event.

The Robertstown 2 Day Trial is approximately 1 month before the "World Unique Event" of Motor Cycle Trials Riding, and that is the "Truscott Hi-Fi 24 Hour Motorcycle Trial".
