The Eudunda Police are responsible for the Robertstown and surrounding districts and they regularly visit them.
There are 2 Police Officers stationed at Eudunda, Senior Constable Dave Adamson and Constable Mark Patten.
Apart from their normal local Police duties, they also assist the Riverton Station, as there is only 1 Officer there.
Their station hours vary, so it is usually best to ring and see if they are on station or make an appointment with them, however if they are needed in an Emergency, they are usually not very far away. This take place due to them being monitored by the Nuriootpa Station, who has contact with them 24/7 by either 2 way radio or mobile phone.
They encourage the members of the community, as part of "Rural Watch" always to be on the lookout for any any suspect persons who may be in the area acting inappropriately to report them to the Police at their earliest convenience.
As the SA Police have changed their communications system to the South Australian Government Radio Network (SAGRN) their communications system has been upgraded with some significant changes.
All radio messages are encrypted so that they cannot be heard by the general public on scanners and other radio systems, plus they have information sent to the in their vehicle via a computer network.
This allows them to send & receive information from a computer terminal.
Below are some photos of the computer and radio setup in their vehicles.
