Travel north from Adelaide City along the Main North Road, through Elizabeth and via the Gawler Bypass, turn onto the Main North Road via Tarlee to the Clare Valley.
Continue along this road via Tarlee, Rhynie and Auburn. Leasingham is the next small settlement - just 115 km north of Adelaide. (Leasingham is 6km north of Auburn)
Ethel's Cottage entrance is clearly signposted on the Main North road about 150 metres after the 80k sign at Leasingham.
